Since the expansion policy of higher colleges in China from 1999, college and above students(thereafter referred to as college students) making leaps and bounds increase and their employment becomes wide social attention and problems. Due to the differences in various districts, the combination of local reality under the guidance of universality is quite necessary for the comprehensive research on the employment status of local graduates. As the leading city of opening and reform policy, Dongguan is in the crucial stage of double transformation of economical and social structures, and solving the employment for original Dongguan graduates whose household registration is Dongguan at the time of attending higher education entrance examination has important significance for optimal talents structure, relieving social conflicts, rapidening economic development and promoting district harmony.By selecting original Dongguan students as subjects, this paper firstly arranges the five factors affecting the graduates’ employment and analyzes the common “hard employment” in Chinese graduates. And then it turns from theory to empirical research and find out the employment situation of original Dongguan graduates by combing with the results for questionnaires in college graduates in 32 towns and streets in Dongguan city(without Song Shanhu district) so as to figure out, analyze and summarize the main problems and group features for selecting and employment as well as pioneering and then it can discuss the feasible measures and suggestions.By combing with the reality in Dongguan, this paper proposes four main methods for promoting the employment of original Dongguan college students. The first one is to enhance correct education for selecting career and guide the students promote career competence consciously; the second is to construct the double bridge between the companies and graduates and realize the benign interaction between post and talents; the third one is to innovate the college cultivation mode and match the output of higher education talents and real demands of employment markets. The fourth is to strengthen the policy support to increase policy implementation performance and integrate social resources so as to provide security for the successful employment and pioneering ofcollege graduates.
