Study On "Assumption-making" Skills Difference Investigation Of Students With Various Intelligence Types

The ability goal in the Biology Course Standard definitely requests, "assumption-making" is one of 11 scientific inquiry abilities high school students must be equipped with. Therefore, for students of various intelligence types, understanding the ability feature, difference and thinking process in terms of the assumption-making plays a significant role in improving the teaching of students'ability to assume.With the literature analysis, the questionnaire survey and interviews, this study makes in-depth investigation on 330 high school students. The result show that, for students of three kinds of intelligence types, there is no obvious difference in assumption consciousness ability, in terms of the phenomenon very familiar with, for students of three kinds of intelligence types, there is no various difference in their ability to put forward high-quality assumption; for students of the analytical and creative intelligence types, there is no obvious difference in their ability to put forward assumption number, which are both powerful than students of the practical intelligence type; in terms of the ability to explain the reason why the assumption is reasonable, students of analytical intelligence type are best, students of creative intelligence type take second place and students of practical intelligence type are the poorest; in terms of the ability to propose high-quality assumption towards unfamiliar question situation, there is no various difference between students of analytical intelligence type and students of creative intelligence type, which are both powerful than students of the practical intelligence type. Students of such three kinds of intelligence types have their own advantages and disadvantages in terms of proposing assumptions.
