Since the adoption of the Compulsory Education Law of the People's Republic of China in 2006, the compulsory education equality has been a legal goal and an issue of public concern. Education serves as a stepping stone for a stronger comprehensive national power, and an integral basis for social equality. What's more, it is also the most important starting point for a person. Since the adoption of the reform and opening policy, urbanization drive has been pushed forward, bringing more and more surplus rural labor to urban areas, and subsequently their children are facing many problems relating to compulsory education. Among the problems are the restriction of household registration system, urban-rural dual system, resource deficiency of compulsory education and unfair educational resource distribution.Through a survey on the implementation of the compulsory education for the children of migrant workers in the suburb of Fuzhou, it is found that there are several problems relating to their compulsory education. The information is obtained via field research and interview, as well as issued official data. Then, the reform-based co(?) strategies for the local government is to be proposed.
