Quality of teaching relates to education's quality and long-term development of schools, colleges and universities should therefore pay attention to the quality of teaching evaluation, proper use of evaluation tool and bring the evaluation function into full play, in order to achieve common development of teachers and schools. At present, Universities have basically established a multi-subject teaching evaluation system that students and supervisors play a base role in evaluation of teaching while peer and teacher self-assessment play a supplemented role.In this study, a local university in Hunan Province as an object of study, its' multi-subject teaching evaluation system is investigated with physical analysis and interview method. In this teaching evaluation system, there are differences in the evaluation results.On the one hand, supervisors of teaching evaluation results are presented polarization trend that concentrated presents "excellent" and "good" two grade levels.On the other hand, the performance of supervisors' and students' teaching evaluation shows higher degree of dispersion and the greater the rate of mutation. Overall, the evaluation results of multi-subject show convergence trend and a small significant difference. The study founds that the evaluation results have little effect in improving and enhancing teaching. In the teaching evaluation system, multi-subject have different characteristics.For example, students' evaluation of teaching is comprehensive, sustained and subjective. Supervisors' evaluation of teaching is normative,supervising,objective and fomal. Peer's teaching evaluation is with a small degree of recognition in evaluation results, lack of scientific and difficult to implement teaching evaluation. Teacher self-assessment is reflective, subjective, unrecognizable and difficult to implement teaching evaluation. In order to further improve the current teaching evaluation system, this study proposed six suggestions about establishment of the development of multi-subject teaching evaluation system:(1)reform institution to stimulate enthusiasm for teaching; (2)modify the standard to enhance the scientific of teaching evaluation; (3)enrich forms of evaluation to improve the information; (4)develop the feedback system to make use of the information; (5)create the institution to develop professional division; (6)break binary to achieve balanced development.
