Since the Beijing Olympic game was successfully held in 2008,sports in China has been attached great importance and thus made great progress.The development of society and sport career has created a great demand of inter-disciplinary talents.Therefore,more and more people with high competence have devoted themselves to sport career and contributed it a lot.Additionally,the enrollment scale of master degree has been expanded since 2009.This fact contributed the fact that quite a number of students who originally major in other subjects attempt to be admitted to a sport-specialized postgraduate student even if what they learned from their undergraduate is inconsistent with what they are pursuing.Consequently,such kind of postgraduate students will encounter difficulties in the course of learning professional knowledge required in post-graduate courses.To investigate these difficulties or problems,this study will tentatively explore the related learning problems and try to analyze them by carrying out a survey.Some certain suggestions on learning and references on educating postgraduate students will be provided to such kind of students and universities respectively,aiming to improve the comprehensive education quality of cross-disciplinary port-specialized postgraduate students.31 cross-disciplinary sport-specialized postgraduate students from Guangdong South Normal University,Guangzhou University and Guangzhou Sport University are chosen as the subjects in this research.Additionally,research methods,including questionnaire,literature review,interview,as well as mathematical statistics are adopted to this study and some preliminary conclusions are drawn as followed:1)The survey shows that the major motivation for obtaining sport-specialized postgraduate degree is to continue education and be equipped with a comparatively higher credential and the key purpose for that is to be a PE teacher in the future.In addition,they are somehow good at or interested in playing certain kind of sports.2)From the research,it can be investigated that cross-disciplinary sportspecialized postgraduate students are poor in basic professional theory.However,theyare willing to comprehend and master the related professional knowledge and thus make great progress.What's more,they are fond of self-regulated learning.As for public academic courses,they hold the view that these courses are lectured without a strong intention,thus useless to their life.3)As the survey shows,cross-disciplinary sport-specialized postgraduate students in Guangzhou are comparatively poor in performing sport skills.They are slow learners and the effect of practicing is not obvious.Some of students who specialized in playing certain sport during their undergraduate period show that they are just good at playing certain sport,rather than many general sports.The major reason for them to perform sport skills is interest.4)The main teaching practice base is school,for the purpose of making preparation for the students' future job.Cross-disciplinary sport-specialized postgraduate students claim that the teaching practice gives them more exposure to sports work.What's more,they are given a new dimension for the understanding of sports work through taking teaching practice.However,such students are unfamiliar to the practice work.5)Currently,the most significant factor affecting the learning of cross-disciplinary sport-specialized postgraduate students in Guangzhou is the elements embedded in cross discipline.Lacking of professional knowledge exhibited as defeats for their learning.The study also shows that there are three main sources of their stress,namely,the employment prospect,the performance levels they set for themselves,a week foundation of professional knowledge.In addition,other factors,such as lacking of communicating with their supervisors,the aging of school sports facilities and gyms with low openness will also serve as barriers for their learning.Some suggestions are illustrated as followed.1)Equipping with compound knowledge,cross-disciplinary postgraduates should learn the professional knowledge by various means.They can make the schedule to raise their professional proficiency.Besides,they can also make a fixed time for communication with their supervisors.What's more,they should set their vocational goal felicitously and try their best to improve their competence for hunting jobs.2)The universities should establish courses for sport-specialized postgraduate students according to their characteristics.In addition,the public courses should be optimized and the sport facilities need maintenance promptly.Also,the openness of gym should be enlarged.Lastly,universities should provide more vocational training and employment channels to the students.3)Supervisors should communicate with their students frequently and encourage and guide them in the course of learning,thus to raise students' learning confidence and learning proficiency.
