Education is the cornerstone of national rejuvenation and social progress,shoulder the responsibility of national rejuvenation,and cultivate talents who meet the requirements of social development in the new era,if a nation want to survive in the society we live in.Nowadays,the society requires the talents to have the ability of critical thinking and problem solving,creativity and innovation,teamwork and leadership.These abilities are reflected in the new curriculum reform,the new curriculum focus on the cultivation of students' autonomy and independence,and focus on guiding students to learn actively and individually in the activities of cooperative inquiry.But,the current ideological and political teaching has the problems such as single teaching method,boring teaching content and so on.These are contrary to the requirements of the times and the new curriculum reform.All these problems require us to explore new teaching methods for the times and the new curriculum reform.Nowadays more and more attention has been paid to the debate teaching methods in many teaching methods.The debate teaching method is based on the students as the main part with divergent thinking?reverse thinking as the characteristics by the group or the whole class members around a specific topic debating,and is between the students learning from each other and airing their own views to enable students to acquire knowledge and improve their professionalism in a debate.This article studies the application of the debate teaching in the subject of the ideological and political education and tells us how to improve students' learning enthusiasm and how to improve the vitality of the ideological and political classroom under the guidance of the debate teaching method.The debate teaching emphasizes the competition of the comprehensive quality of the students.It pays attention to students' knowledge reserve and integration,the cultivation of students' innovation ability,and the training of students in language expression and logical thinking.There is a big difference between the debate teaching method and the debate competition.The debate teaching is for the teaching,however the debate competition is freedom and does not receive the teaching restraint.In the implementation of the debate teaching method,in order to make the teaching not deviate from the normal track,the debate teaching method should adhere to the principle of subjectivity,heuristic principle,the principle of holistic education,theprinciple of challenge.The reason of application of debate teaching method is on one hand that it has its own great times value,educational value and moral value and is on the other hand that it adapts to the needs of the new curriculum reform,conforms to the concept of quality education,and caters to the current ideological and political education reform in high school.There are some problems in the process of the debate teaching,such as the low effectiveness,the tool,the limitation to some students,the surface and formalization and so on.At the end of the article,the author discusses the measures to solve the problems.Firstly is to build a harmonious relationship between teachers and students in the classroom to create a harmonious,equal atmosphere.Secondly,we should improve the comprehensive quality of teachers,and actively explore new teaching methods.Again,we should pay closely attention to the facts around the news and combind with life for teaching.Finally,we should make a comprehensive evaluation of students to avoid the theory of fraction.
