Currently the information technology has been penetrated in every aspect of our living,and the application of this technology is attached increasing importance in education and teaching fields.As the teaching equipment has been well geared into the development of information,the interactive whiteboard rises in response to the proper time.On the basis of the advantageous foundation based on conventional blackboard instruction and PowerPoint teaching,the digitalization of teaching information has been realized.The teaching situation and content shall be enriched,and the teaching efficiency shall be elevated if the interactive whiteboard is adequately applied by teachers for the assisted instruction.To fully exert the advantages of the assisted instruction via interactive whiteboard during teaching biology in junior high school,the application of interactive whiteboard during the junior high school biology teaching in No.3 Middle School of Wuhai city is investigated and analyzed.The experimental research,case study and classroom observation methods are adopted as to research the application of interactive whiteboard in the teaching of grade 7 volume 2 biology textbook.As the result indicates,(1)As for teachers,50% of which are more likely to combine the interactive whiteboard instruction and the conventional teaching pattern;70% of which mainly highlight the teaching focus via multiple functions of the whiteboard;95% of which believe that the reasonable and adequate application of this tool shall be beneficial to both teachers and students.As for students,67.14% of which prefer the combination of conventional teaching and interactive whiteboard instruction;58.57% of which believe that the interactive whiteboard,as a teaching approach for teachers,is able to directly deliver the knowledge and enables students to rapidly absorb the knowledge;68.57% believe their horizons are widened and their divergent thinking is promoted effectively;74.28% of which believe that this tool shall stimulate students' interest in learning biology and shall promote the communication between teachers and students.(2)The application of interactive whiteboard in teaching abides by the scientific principle,coordination principle and developing principle,and the case teaching design and application is mainly based on different teaching processes.For this reason,the favorable teaching effect is acquired.(3)Through the practical teaching for one semester,the final examination results of experimental class and control class are compared.As the result indicates,the teaching efficiency acquired through adopting interactive whiteboard is significantly higher than that acquired through conventional teaching method.However,through the analysis of investigation result and the classroom observation,it is found that some teachers merely carry out the interaction between them and the whiteboard whereas the interactions between teachers and students and among students are neglected.Some teachers are somehow over dependent on the interactive whiteboard and neglect the importance of textbook.This paper seeks to provide reference and guidance for teachers' application in interactive whiteboard.To sum up,under the assisted instruction of interactive whiteboard,the novel biology teaching model in junior high school is established.Hence the teaching innovation of biology is promoted,students' scientific thinking is nurtured,the evaluation is diversified,and both teachers and students are making progress,which are beneficial to the development of education.This paper suggests that middle schools should take reference of the advanced experience in foreign countries,increase the financial investment and further optimize the hardware and software facility construction.Secondly middle school shall launch training course,enhance the consciousness to develop teacher resource,optimize the operation and practically transform the teachers' function.Thirdly the school shall perfect and enlarge the teacher group,share the teaching resource and practically teach students in accordance with their condition.If the mentioned progresses are achieved by the middle school,students' personality cultivation and overall development shall be positively boosted.
