In the present stage of primary school music education,music appreciation course has been gradually known and valued by people.With the implementation of the Primary and Secondary School Music Education New Curriculum Standard promulgated by Ministry of Education,music education develops at constantly high speed.As is known to all,music appreciation a kind of ability a kind of necessary skill for everyone,while appreciating requires professional music knowledge and teachers' guidance.Not only can stimulate the cerebral cortex,and promote the children's mental development,but also can regulate the children's bad mood,make them happy,and promote healthy development of their inner character.Therefore,music appreciation and humanistic quality are mutually related and interdependent;music appreciation promotes the humanistic quality.Because music appreciation has positive effect on humanistic quality,the author wants to discuss problems in the music appreciation course and how to implement humanistic quality education research in music appreciation course.Project survey about primary school music appreciation course was conducted in 10 primary schools in Gusu District,Suzhou.Through the survey method,interview method and other methods,comprehensive investigation and analysis were carried out on the primary school music appreciation course.After the problems were found out via the investigation and analysis,the corresponding solutions and countermeasures were proposed.Through reforming the primary school music appreciation course,the author explores how to promote the development and improvement of humanistic quality of pupils through the course.The research contents mainly include the following aspects:at first,it mainly discusses the topic research background,research significance,and the domestic and foreign relevant background and research methods.Then it is concerning the current situation of primary school music appreciation course as well as the investigation and analysis.Besides,it also discusses the problems and reasons of music appreciation course.At last,it elaborates the implementation strategies of humanistic quality education in primary school music appreciation course from four aspects in Gusu District.
