Historical textbook exercise is an important part in the historical textbook,It can help students master the basic knowledge and basic skills of history,foster students historical thinking method and learning method in the process of problem solving,train students’ ability of solving the problem of history and reality.These abilities can further cultivate the students’ positive and healthy emotion,attitude and values.Although with the constant reform of textbooks,history textbook exercises also have been improved and optimized.However,the current version of junior high school history textbook exercise still have some problems which need to be further explored and thought.On the shoulder of predecessors’ theory,this thesis does some research and survey on the exercise in the junior high school historical textbook that published by the People’s Education Press.This paper is divided into six parts:The first part is introduction,which mainly introduces the background of the topic and the significance of the research,and explains the research ideas and methods of this paper on the basis of reviewing the previous research result.The second part analyzes in detail the setting of the exercise in the junior high school historical textbook that published by the People’s Education Press.First of all,it narrates the connotation,type,and function about exercises from the macroscopical level.Furthermore,it reviews the site of exercise in junior middle school historical textbook.At last,through the form of chart,it shows the exercises’ quantity and type in each book and specifically analyze the exercises designed in each column,summarizes the characteristics of exercises designed..The third part is the investigation and analysis of the usage of the exercise and introduce the purpose,content and recycle of the questionnaire.It analyses the results of questionnaire to students and teachers on the basis of these.The fourth part is the analysis of the problems and causes of the exercise in junior high school historical textbook that published by the People’s Education Press.First,it analyzes the problems of the exercises from the two aspects of the design and use.In the design,the exercises fail to fully meet the requirements of the three-dimensional target of the course;in the use,a large number of active exercises are idle,teachers lack of flexibility in dealing with textbook exercises,the evaluation of exercises is the final evaluation.Second,it analyzes the cause of the problem,which mainly results from thetime of updating the textbooks is too long,the history textbook exercise has not been paid enough attention,and the author does not fully understand the real needs of the user.The fifth part is some suggestions for improvement on the base of the problem in the textbook exercises.In the design,the exercises should fully reflect the requirements of the three-dimensional target of the course.In the use,teachers should guide students to complete the exercises,teachers are supposed to make good use of exercises to promote effective classroom teaching,and the way of exercise evaluation should be improved.The sixth part is the conclusion,based on the setting of the exercises in the junior high school historical textbook that published by the People’s Education Press.Through the investigation and analysis of the usage of the exercises,the author respectively puts forward his own thoughts and suggestions on the setting and use of the them.
