Culture,as a source of liveliness for a race,is a place where keeps one's deepest feeling of his own country and spiritual pursuit.Cultural self-confidence is a kind of cultural value in which one is confident,appreciated and persistent of his own culture.It shows to us that one has been and always will believe in it,with sob understanding of current cultural situation and firm confidence in the coming culture development.High school students are so potentially powerful in inheriting and developing Chinese culture that developing their cultural self-confidence is good for these two aspects,thus stimulating our culture development in the long run.However,economic globalization pushes multicultural collision mutually,deeply changes people' s minds,life style and value system.Otherwise,it also influences people's cultural self-confidence,especially for high school students whose minds are immature.Therefore,it's important to study and develop high school students 'cultural self-confidence,which is based on Cultural Life.This paper will be divided into four parts: the first part is introduction,which includes the research background and the research significance,the research overview on cultural confidence both in domestic and overseas,the definition and clarification of related concepts and their mutual relationships and the innovation of the research and the research ideas and methods.The second part focuses on clarifying the connections between the curriculum goal,the body content,auxiliary content(including illustrations,auxiliary words and comprehensive explorations),and the connotations and the requirements of the cultural self-confidence based on the Cultural Life.The third part will make a survey on part of high school political teachers and high school students of Dongjiang middle school affiliated to Guangzhou university by using the method of questionnaire and interview,which do benefits to study the cultural self-confidence's current situation of high school and the current situation of the cultivation of students' cultural self-confidence in the teaching of the Cultural Life.The fourth part will concentrates on the approaches to optimize the cultivation of students' cultural self-confidence in the teaching of the Cultural Life according to the present situation of high school students' self-confidence.For one thing,teachers should promote students' correct cultural awareness by creating cultural contexts reasonably in the process of teaching the Cultural Life and arouse students' positive culture emotion by adopting the cooperation and investigation teaching method.For another,teachers are advised to design after-school extension assignment and organize varieties of after-school and intramural cultural activities to facilitate students to exhibit cultural values in their active actions.
