The physical education of primary and secondary schools and the health curriculum standards for students put forward higher requirements of students' sports participation,sports skills,physical health,mental health and social adaptation.However,the “three basis” teaching of traditional sports doesn't get good teaching effectiveness.The sports participation and sports learning interests are not satisfying.And what's more,the physical condition of students is not improved obviously.At present,under the guidance thought “Health First”,in primary and secondary schools,the happy sports teaching method is rising and developing in domestic.As one of the body movements of recreational activities,sports game is also one of the means of comprehensive physical exercises which is popular among primary and secondary school students.In this paper,the author will regard the sports game as the organization tool and teaching contents on physical and carry out game-based teaching to junior high school students.And then to demonstrate weather the game-based teaching has obvious effects on junior high school students' physical grades including their physical index and their exercise special performance.In this paper,the author randomly selects two classes' 96 students from Chongwen Junior High School of Fushan,Yantai city as the teaching experimental objects.The experimental class has 46 students in total(24 boys and 22 girls),and the control class,has 48 students(25 boys and 23 girls).By using the literature data method,experiment method,questionnaire investigation,expert interview method,mathematical statistics and logical analysis and through the comparison of the data before and after the experiment,the results are as follows:(1)After the teaching experiment,the physical index of the boys and girls in experimental class such as height,weight,50 meters,standing long jump,solid ball scores has significance change compared with their grades before the experiment(P <0.01).The grades of boys' 1000 m and girls' 800 m in the experimental class do not have significance differences compared with their grade before the experiment(P >0.05).After the game-based teaching,the basketball dribbling grades and the volleyball matting scores of boys and girls are both changed a lot(P < 0.01).(2)After the teaching experiment,the physical index of the boys in control classsuch as height,weight,standing long jump and 1000 m has significance change compared with their grades before the experiment(P < 0.05),The boys' grades of 50 meters,medicine balls have little change compared with their grades before the experiment,(P > 0.05).The physical index of the girls in control class such as height,weight,50 m has significance change compared with their grades before the experiment(P < 0.05),Their grades of the standing long jump,medicine balls,800 meters have improvements to some degree but do not obvious enough(P > 0.05).The basketball dribbling grades and the volleyball matting scores of boys and girls in the control class are both improved but the sport-specific have no significant change(P >0.05).(3)After the teaching experiment,the physical index of the boys and girls in experimental class such as height,weight,1000m(boys),800m(girls)does not have significant change compared with the control class(P > 0.05).The physical index of the boys and girls in experimental class of 50 meters,standing long jump,solid ball scores has significant change compared with the control class(P < 0.05).The basketball dribbling grades and the volleyball matting scores of boys and girls in the experimental class are higher that of the control class and have significant change(P <0.05).(4)After the teaching experiment,through the comparison of the physical learning interests' questionnaire survey between experimental class and control class,the author gets that the scores of experimental class students have great difference with the scores of control class students(P < 0.01).Through the research of this paper and according to the experiment data,the author has the following findings:(1)The sports game is a new physical teaching concept of China.Game-based teaching is a kind of teaching model which conforms to junior high school students' physical and mental characteristics and is suitable to develop students' physical fitness and get the related sports skills.(2)The game-based physical teaching in junior high schools should follow the four basic principles:educational,exercising,interesting and security.(3)The game-based physical teaching should involve three aspects: the select and arrangement of games,the organization and implementation of games and the assessment of games.(4)Compared with thetraditional physical teaching,the game-based teaching is more favorable to the improvement of physical fitness,the formation of sports skills and the foster of physical learning interests.Finally the suggestions for the game-based teaching are as follows:(1)Organize appropriate sports games to promote students' physical and mental development.(2)Teachers should strengthen the organization and management of game-based teaching and improve the teaching efficiency.(3)By organizing strengthen the gaming teaching organization and management,it could promote the rapid formation of students' sports skills.(4)Game teaching in the development of students heats and lung tolerance should pay attention to safety.
