The Research Of Key Competency Of Adult Student And The Strategy Of Cultivation

Now we are at knowledge economy and the informational society,the development of science and technology pose a challenge to the cultivation of talents.The globalization made us put the issues which need to be discussed in global environment.From the global rasing of democratic awareness and competency assessment,we can find that the study of the key competency of adult students and the strategy of cultivation is important to the society?politics and the education.Inthispaperwe learn about the concept of the key competency and the development of it according to literature analysis whichproved that key competency is not only for a certain stage of peoplebutforall the people.The key competency helps people to take part in the society through the whole life and adult stage is a large part of the whole life.We compare the frame of the key competency between international institutions and China's Ministry of education.At last,we propose ten key competencies:Self management,learning,language literacy,problem solving and innovation,science and technology and information literacy,the aesthetic and humanistic,morality,social responsibility,national identity and international understanding.On the basis of the study,we study the current situationof the cultivation of the key competency through the questionnaire and find out there are still problem of the cultivation.Then propose strategy through fivearea:concept conversion,course design,teaching staff,teaching evaluation,environmental construction.This research study the key competency of adult students and discuss the strategy of cultivation of the adult students on the basic of domestic and internationalresearch.In the meanwhile,it also offers some suggestion to the development of adult education.
