Over the past decade,the "Children Left Behind" has aroused great interest in sociology,psychology,education and other areas.This study is based on two primary typical remote and backward rural areas of southwest high school.The "children left behind" is made an example.The author explore the development of moral status,problems,causes and countermeasures about the "children left behind",mainly through the questionnaire and interview method.The first part briefly introduces the situation of the investigation,the basic situation of the rural left behind children and their families.This paper makes a systematic analysis of the basic situation of the moral development from the aspects of behavior habits,civic accomplishment,personality quality,ideals and beliefs about the left behind children.The second part points out the main problems of moral development about the rural left behind children.This section contains the following five aspects.First,the rural left behind children are lack of respect and confidence,treating others negatively.The two is introverted self abased and lack of communication.The three is weak and wavering toughness.The four is the negative emotional expansion of inertial bad experiences.The five is the value of misconduct,off the main track.On this basis,the third part mainly from the parent-child relationship and inter generational care relationship and the teacher-student relationship and peer relations,for the rural left-behind children moral development problems cause analysis.The fourth part is from parents,teachers and left-behind children themselves,some suggestions on the promotion of rural left-behind children moral development put forward.
