| The education of history is a key factor to improve the students’ humane quality.Also it plays an important role in setting up their correct outlook on world,life and value.Compared with male subjects,it is severely lacking in female study in the current version of history textbooks in junior high school.The type of the female images is single and stereotyped.These females were often judged with prejudice.The historical and social contribution of women,which is often attached to men’s is weakened in some ways.The status quo is generated from gender discrimination between men and women.Tradition to that,the department of education also pays little attention to it.Gender bias is easily formed in students’ mind when they use the textbooks with gender prejudice.It not only has a bad effect on the formation of students’ gender consciousness,but also it will affect the girls’ correct understanding of their own gender.To overcome the current status of female weakening and reduce its negative effects in the textbook,we first must stand with the history materials that about women.Furthermore,we should focus on the study of feminist historiography.At the same time,eliminating the differences between the sexes should be embedded in one of the main tasks of the curriculum reform.Textbook compilers should enhance their gender equality awareness and strengthen the gender review in the textbook.Teachers themselves should put their subjective initiative into full use.They can add more materials about female subjects in the tests during or after class in order to supplement the deficiency of the textbook.Thus,teaching of knowledge,emotion and humanity in history can be able to given full play. |
