The new curriculum reform of high school geography emphasizes the comprehensive development of students,changing the traditional teaching mode,advocating students to learn living geography,seeking the harmony between man and land,and meets the needs of the sustainable development of the global economy.The reform of the new curriculum has made corresponding adjustments to the contents of teaching materials,educational concepts and curriculum evaluation on the basis of the current reality and the experience of other countries.The implementation of the new curriculum reform is a major challenge for the education sector.Xianxian County is a national poverty county,Xianxian No.1 middle school began to implement high school geography new curriculum reform since September2009.This paper studies the new curriculum reform of high school geography in Xianxian No.1 middle school by using literature,questionnaire,statistical analysis and practical research.This paper conducts a questionnaire survey on teachers from the aspects of cognition of high school geography new curriculum reform,classroom teaching,evaluation system,curriculum resources and teachers' comprehensive quality,and the students from the perspective of learning interest,teaching materials,classroom teaching,evaluation methods.This paper analyzes the current situation of the implementation of the new curriculum reform of senior high school in poverty-stricken areas,analyzing the existing problems in the new curriculum reform,exploring the causes of the new curriculum reform,and puts forward the practical reasonable countermeasures and suggestions combining with the actual teaching case.This paper consists of five parts.The first part is the introduction of the research background,research significance,research status at home and abroad,research content,ideas and methods.The second part takes Xianxian County No.1 middle school as an example to describe the implementation of the new curriculum reform of high school geography.The third part analyzes the basic situation of the survey object,designing the teacher and the student questionnaire,and analyzes the survey result.The fourth part analyzes the problems in the implementation of the reform of the new curriculum of geography in high school according to the survey results: the teacher's lack of cognition of the new curriculum reform of senior high school;the classroom teaching is still the teacher's "one speech";the evaluation of the teachers and students is still only based on Examination results;curriculum resources is to be improved;the overall quality of teachers need to be improved.In view of the above problems,from the teacher,evaluation system,teaching funds,curriculum resources,salary,quality of students and other aspects to explore,the main reason for the resulting: teachers do not change the concept in time,self-improvement ability is poor;lack of funding for geography teaching;school curriculum resources are less and lack of development awareness;poor treatment of teachers in poor areas;students lack the enthusiasm of inquiry learning.The fifth part puts forward the reasonable countermeasures and suggestions according to the problems in front and the actual teaching cases:Teachers should change the concept,improve the professional quality;reform and improve the evaluation system,strengthen the operability;increase the investment in geography teaching;actively develop geography curriculum resources;set reasonable class hours;reform training form,carry out effective training;appropriately increase the wages of teachers in poor areas.The sixth part is the conclusion.
