The publication of "The Professional Standards of Middle School Teachers(for Trial Implementation)" indicates that the era of professional standardization has been coming.At the same time,the discussion of professional standards for teachers in different disciplines has been a hotspot.For the physical education,the performance of professional standard will affect the individual development,selection and training of the middle school physics teachers.In addition,teachers' professional quality is also one of the key factor of to carry out a curriculum reform successfully.Hence,the performance of “professional standards” is very importance to the development of China's middle school physical education.The research on the professional standards of physics teachers in middle school has been carried out for a long time in the world,meanwhile,there are also a lot of related materials in China.The United States,one of the most advanced countries in the world,has released a series of documents about the professional standard of secondary school physics teachers,and established a hierarchical evaluation system.However,for these aspects,China still remains in the non-official level,and the education department doesn't release relevant official documents.Furthermore,the relevant discussion in China can divide into following two aspects: how a physics teacher can be seen as qualified? And what kind of professional qualities the physics teachers should be owned.In this paper,we explore the professional standard for the middle school physics teachers from the perspective of key competencies of physics teaching,according to the professional standards in USA.Since the key competencies of physics teaching is a hot issue in the current educational research in China,the standards will still play an important role in guiding the physics curriculum reform.Although the relevant documents do not bereleased officially,it will still play an important role in guiding the physics curriculum reform.So,in this study,it is necessary to concern on the key competencies of physics teaching as the starting point in this study.The professional standards of middle school physics teacher in this dissertation divide into three first class indicators: physics teachers' professional concept,professional knowledge and professional skills.Under these first class indicators,there are several second class indicators.And then,the detail contents is organized in a questionnaire,which is used to collect and analyze the physics teachers' feedback.We also give a discussion on the feedback based on the content related to the exploration on the professional standard in this paper.The goal is to offer some suggestions to the future construction of middle school physics teacher's professional standard.This paper is composed by following six parts.The first part is about Introduction,in which the background,the relevant researches,the significance and the methods of this research will be discussed.In the second part,the connotations and structures of key competencies,science literacy and key competencies of physics teaching will be elaborated,at the same time,the connections and differences will also be involved.In the third part,the differences between the two words: profession and occupation in middle school physics teacher's professional standard will be discussed.And the three first class indicators and eight secondary class indicators will be constructed.It has three theory basis,which include that the framework based on ethic devotion,professional knowledge and professional skills in “middle school teacher's professional standard(a trial version)”;the relevant research results in China;the combination ofkey competencies of physics teaching and international experiences.The fourth part is the investigation about key competencies.According to the middle school physical teacher's professional standard,the questionnaire is designed.The purpose,scope,method and content of the questionnaire are expounded.The data collection and analysis willbe divided into three aspects: key competencies of physics teaching,middle school physics teacher's professional standards and the status of physics teachers' professional consciousness.In the fifth part,the suggestions of strategies will be provided from the status of physics teachers,the structure of middle school physics teacher's professional standard and the development direction and the implementation of this standard.In the sixth part,the shortcomings of the research and the prospect of the future development of the professional standards for the middle school physics teacher in the future has been summarized.
