The discovery teaching method is called hypothesis method or inquiry method.Its aim is to discover and solve problems and train students' ability to ask questions.The teaching method can help students to master knowledge and develop intelligence.With the continuing reform of college entrance examination system in recent year,student not only face stressful pressure of entering college,but also the corresponding history teaching face great challenge.Therefore,in the requirements of the new curriculum reform,student should be considered as the subjects so that student can develop the ability of finding historical problems and solving problems.Intuitively,the discovery teaching method is attracted much attention in history teaching.This paper is divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction,mainly expounds the background and significance of the discovery teaching method.The second part is the summary of the discovery teaching method,and from the concept and characteristics of the discovery teaching method in two aspects,so people will have has a simple understanding about the teaching method.In the third part,the history of high school teaching and learning problems will be shown from the students,and it puts forward a solution to pave the way.In the fourth part,the application of discovery teaching method in the history of high school will be shown,which includes the application of the steps,the specific requirements of the application,as well as through specific cases,analysis of cases,reflection and find the teaching method in the teaching of history and avoid unnecessary mistakes.Finally,we will get lessons from the studies..Finally,according to the above research,the following conclusions are drawn.The discovery teaching method in high school history teaching can raise the ability of exploring the question and promote the development of dialectical thought and the rational thought for student.The discovery teaching method in senior high school history class combines with the characteristics of the discovery teaching method and the history subject through continuous experiment and exploration.According to the actual situation,as a work in a high school history teacher who should combine with other teaching methods,the teaching method and the teaching quality of high school history teaching should be constantly improved.Finally,the ability of discovery should be improved for students.
