A Study On The Teaching Of Foreign Folk Music In Junior High School Music Class

In response to the frequent and in-depth exchanges of global culture,the concept of multicultural education is more valued by people.The concept of foreign national music education,based on that of multicultural education,has been adopted in the stage of elementary education in music class.The goal of foreign national music education is to widen students' horizons of music and culture and help them understand and respect the music and culture from different nationalities by the means of the recognition and experience of different countries,nationalities and districts in the world,so that they know how to respect different kinds of people with different races and cultures.Against such circumstances,the issue on how to better the teaching of foreign national music education has become a must for music educators in junior high school to face and think.The thesis is consisted of four chapters.The first chapter is about the brief introduction and concept of foreign national music education in the music class of junior high school.The second chapter is about the survey and analysis of the problems in the teaching process of junior high school.The surveying objects are teachers and students.The third chapter is about the existing problems of foreign national music education in the teaching process of junior high school,including teachers' self deficiencies,the limitation of teaching materials on foreign national music education,single teaching methods,unclear teaching objectives and so forth.The fourth chapter is about strategies of foreign national music education in the teaching process of junior high school.This chapter is consisted of two parts.The one part explains some teaching strategies made by author,the other part are some teaching plans designed by author.All these are discussed in the teaching process of junior high school.The field of foreign national music education in elementary teaching is worthy of further work.The irrigation of musical background cultures should be emphasized in world national music teaching.The teaching method of world national music will also be author's research,and they will be further discussed in future study and work.
