With the rapid development of economic globalization,the English education of China meets new opportunities and challenges.A growing number of foreign teachers are teaching in C hina which brings more opportunity for our students to study and communicate with the teachers who are native speakers.The foreign teachers bring fresh vigor for English language teaching in China.They have authentic English speaking,innovative teaching method,abundant English learning materials,and colorful exotic culture.This thesis uses the observational method and the comparative research method.This thesis focuses on the classroom teaching between Chinese and Filipino English language Teachers in Haikou.First,This thesis makes a preliminary analysis about the classroom teaching between C hinese and Filipino language English teachers.Foreign teacher analyzes the greeting,playing English songs,asking questions,drawing and playing games,and Chinese English teacher analyzes the greeting,reviewing and asking questions,classroom leading-in,teaching the new lessons,and homework.This thesis shows the teaching style and teaching characteristics about C hinese and Filipino English language Teachers,finding make a difference in five aspects: teaching model,teaching approach,teaching activity,teaching method,and teaching result.The classroom teaching of Filipino teacher is a systematic,integral and structured organization and arrangement,and the classroom teaching of C hinese teacher focuses on the learning task and the homework;Filipino English language Teacher is good at designing and operating a wide variety of teaching games,and C hinese English teacher explains the lesson through oral language;leading-in is to lead into new knowledge and making students curiosity in the classroom of Filipino English teacher,the C hinese teacher's classroom leading-in is to review the old knowledge and lead into new knowledge;Filipino teachers put forward open-ended questions,and there is no fixed answer,the C hinese teacher uses closed questions.Through the comparative study of classroom teaching between C hinese and Filipino English language teachers,this thesis finds some problems in classroom teaching of C hinese English teacher,including single lead-in ways,single teaching active mode,less of teaching games,less of participation.In view of these problems,I will I will put forward suggestions: increase the form of classroom leading-in,change the singularity of questioning types,change the teaching conception,and take students as main body.I hope these suggestions could play a positive role in improving China's English teaching.
