The most fundamental purpose of vocational education is to develop high quality and high-skilled workers for social development, to meet the needs of career development, to provide services for the development of social and economic development. With the deepening of reform and opening up, English has played a very important role in promoting cultural exchanges, promoting international trade exchanges and mastering new scientific and technological knowledge, this has been the general understanding of the whole society, and all kinds of education at all levels,English teaching is one of the important contents. In particular, in recent years, with the deepening of curriculum reform, secondary vocational education requirements of the culture education is also getting higher and higher, vocational students not only have to master the excellent professional skills, but also have the appropriate scientific and cultural knowledge, but the secondary vocational school students generally have a poor foundation, there are great difficulties in learning English, they are not interested, at the same time because of past bad study habits, they are often passive learning, there is no suitable learning methods and strategies for their own,therefore, their academic performance is difficult to improve, this learning situation to the vocational school education challenges are self-evident. Teachers in secondary vocational schools should pay special attention to how to improve the students'interest in learning English and how to help them learn English well. Therefore, this paper puts forward some methods and strategies on how to improve students' English learning interest in secondary vocational schools.The whole idea and content of the paper are summarized as follows:In the first part, mainly elaborated the research background and the significance as well as the domestic and foreign research present situation.In the second part, the related concept and theoretical basis of learning interest are expounded.In the third part, a part of students in a vocational and technical school in Tangshan city are as the research object, through questionnaire survey, the reasons that affect students' learning interest are classified and analyzed.In the fourth part, we summarize all kinds of factors. The reasons of the students themselves, the teaching factors in schools and the family environment are all discussed in detail.The fifth part is the main body of the whole article. Through in-depth analysis of the reasons of lack of interest in English learning for vocational students, solutions and strategies are initially proposed for practical validation.
