With the new reform of college entrance examination in 2014,career education has been paid more and more attention.More and more senior middle school students begin to attach importance to career education,and set up career education courses.Educators are expected to help students plan their lives better and create a brighter future by developing career education.However,the excellent career guidance teachers is so few.Competency model as a common tool in the field of human resources,not only can distinguish between the excellent workers and the general workers,but also has a good reference value for the recruitment and training of the relevant personnel.The main purpose of this study is to further promote the development of career education by constructing the competency model of career guidance teachers in senior middle school.In this study,behavioral event interviews and thematic analysis were used to research the career guidance teachers of senior middle school from Inner Mongolia,Jilin,Jiangsu,Zhejiang,Shanghai and other places.To find the selection criteria of outstanding performance,issued questionnaire to experts in the field of career education,This study selected two groups of teachers: excellent group 10,normal group 10;male 5,female 15;12 graduate students,8 postgraduate students,have a good representative.First of all,20 career guidance teachers were interviewed.Secondly,the recording of transcription.Third,the author uses the theme analysis method to construct the competency dictionary,and uses four dictionaries to encode the text material.Finally,after the statistical analysis of the data,the competencymodel of career guidance teachers in senior middle school is obtained.The competency model of senior middle school career guidance teachers consists of two parts: core competence and general competency.One of the core competency of 5,respectively: career education teaching skills,career planning,career education consciousness,acceptance of students' professional knowledge and skills,career guidance ability;general competency 20,respectively: exploring consciousness and ability,curriculum planning ability,sense of responsibility,good at understanding the students,career information seeking ability,empathy,communication ability,positive attention,full of go,insight and sensitivity,team spirit and affinity,learning ability,the ability to summarize and establish trust relationship ability,confidentiality principle,clear positioning,comprehensive thinking,flexibility,achievement motivation.The competency model of senior middle school career guidance teachers in this study can not only help the school select excellent talents to be engaged in the work of career guidance teachers,but also can be used as a reference standard for curriculum evaluation.For career guidance teachers themselves,can also be based on the competency model to further enhance their own,better career education.
