The ideological and political course is a compulsory course set up by the general high school in China, and also the basic education of the communist theory of the high school students. It takes the unique socialist civilization of China as the basic content,guides the students to study politics, economy, philosophy, cultural basic knowledge and basic laws. Help them form the correct world outlook, the outlook on life, values gradually. However our society, school, parents or students is generally believed that the ideological and political course seems too empty to be practical. Experts and subject teachers have been trying to probe the way to solve this problem, so do the author.Base on the investigation of education current situation of extracurricular reading of high school in Wuhan city, the author tries to find some regularities to explore the way of helping students to carry on the ways of extra-curricular reading of the ideological and political subject.The dissertation can be divided into five parts.Part one: Introduction. Set out the topic significance, the research status and the research ideas and research methods.Part two: Introduces the investigation and study specific implementation details,including the object and scope of investigation; methods and means of the survey; the steps and processes of the survey.Part three: The data analysis supported by large-scale questionnaire survey of high school students and interviews of school teachers and students. Six dimensions including:reading interest of high school student, guiding difficulties of subject teachers, the theoretical property of the subject, sources of reading, ways of reading and subject extracurricular reading of science students.Part four: Analysis of the factors that affect subject extracurricular reading of high school students. Three aspects including: subject thinking ability of high school student;the difficulty and the intensity of teacher's guide; social environment of college entrance examination system of China, Quick Meal Doctrine of reading and extremely entertainment of mass media.Part five: Give intervention strategies for subject teachers on coaching student.Three aspects including: The key is stimulating students. The prerequisite is improving teacher's awareness. The emphasis is sharing teachers power to build the reading environment for school.
