Junior and senior high are two different learning stages. The students,in the transition stage between the two,are likely to experience various kinds of maladaptive symptoms.Especially for high school freshmen, this sort of maladaptation not only reflects in the increasing difficulty and breadth of learning content, but also brings out the corresponding mental maladaptation, inferiority and other negative effects. Therefore,it is an important issue how to ensure the effective transition from junior to senior high. This study, focusing on research and instruction strategies on the effective transition of Chinese extracurricular reading, mainly carries out three aspects of research.First of all,the study compares and analyses different aspects concerning the stages of junior and senior high, and the development of students ' psychological cognition by referring to literature documents;compares and analyses the differences of Chinese curriculum standard between junior and senior high through studying curriculum standards in two periods, which is the theoretical basis for later research.Secondly, the study concentrates research, among students, teachers and parents,on students' understanding of the similarities and differences in extracurricular reading, plus the formation of good reading habits in two different stages.Besides,on that basis, further interviews are conducted about some typical cases to gain insight into students' specific reading state and respective reading requirements, after which, the study brings about related analysis and summary.Lastly, based on the above research and interview results, the study formulates strategies to solve the problems, meanwhile, with Xinhai Senior High as a site, and combines the guidance strategies with practice, constantly keeping reflection and summarizing during the whole practice.
