The publication of the general overview of Key Competencies for Chinese Students Development will provide a guide to the revision of curriculum standards, the compilation of teaching materials, the transformation of instructor's teaching theories, the in-depth learning of students, the evaluation of teaching and so on. Through the various stages and multi-disciplines in systematic training, students have the necessary survival and development of the necessary capacity and essential character in that cultivation of the key competencies the students is facing to implement the key competencies of variety of subjects. Each subject carries its own academic mission. For example, English with its unique glamour is especially playing a vital role for the development of students'language capability.Collected and arranged some relevant information and previous studies on English's key competencies, the author written this thesis could learn the experiences and methods from them. The author tries to improve the framework of the key competencies of Junior High School English Discipline involving four perspectives: language capability of English,learning ability, thinking quality and cultural character, makes a preliminary exploration of the core accomplishment of junior high school English Discipline conduct a preliminary exploration of the key competencies of Junior High School English Discipline. Also, according to the research and study of the status quo, the writer makes specific suggestions to implement the key competencies of Junior High School English Discipline when it comes to Junior English For China, teaching theory on Chinese teachers, learning approach among the Chinese students,instructional elevation, thus developing the essential qualities and key competencies of students in the life-long sense of development required by society.The paper is composed of five parts mainly:First and foremost, it mainly introduces the research background,research significance and present situation at home and abroad in English Discipline. Meanwhile, it also presents the research scheme of the key competencies of Junior High School English Discipline, such as objectives,contents, methods and processes and a general design.In the second place, defining concept in key competencies of English Discipline will be achieved; setting up the key competencies of Junior High School English Discipline get the readers proceed a series of theoretical explanation and data validation. Then, the key competencies of Junior High School English Discipline Model that author narrates its specific connotation are formed.In the third place, the key competencies of Junior High School English Discipline are going to carry out the research by collecting the realistic data of key competencies of Junior High School English Discipline concerning English textbooks, students' learning performance and teachers' classroom teaching.In the fourth place, in accordance with the current analysis of investigation data, the writer makes specific suggestions to implement the key competencies of Junior High School English Discipline in terms of four aspects: English textbooks, teaching theory on Chinese teachers,learning approach among Chinese students, instructional elevation.Last but not least, the author towards the results of this paper gives a simple elucidation on the contributions and weaknesses and puts forward the directions for future.
