With the development of economic globalization and the internationalization of education, the number of overseas students has increased significantly, and more students have chosen to study international courses in high school. As the world's most famous international courses, IBDP courses have got a rapid development after introduced into mainland China. The aim, of investigating teaching model of IBDP physics thematic experiment, is to explore the physics experiment teaching objectives, principles,implementation path and strategy. Specifically under international vision, and within the domestic IBDP schools.Based on the study on literature of IBDP curriculum and IBDP teaching, combined with seven years IBDP teaching experience, the author analyzes the internal assessment criteria of IBDP physics, clarifies its leading role in teaching of thematic experiment. Under the guidance of constructivist learning theory and trying teaching theory, this investigation puts forward the teaching model of physics thematic experiment which is suitable for domestic IBDP school, gives teaching recommendations in aspects of analyzing the depth of the evaluation rules, the guidance of choosing topic and research question, the processing of experimental data and the writing of experimental report. Finally carries out practical exploration and presents some teaching cases. Practical teaching has also made gratifying results.
