With the boom of automobile industry and the great development of after-sale vehicle market,the skilled and technical professionals are in great demand;meanwhile,the automobile maintenance industry is raising higher requirement for the competence of practitioners.As the main training base of vehicle skilled workers,secondary vocational schools have achieved great progress,but there remain plenty of problems such as vague training objective,outdated teaching mode,single teaching evaluation system,etc.,with the result that graduated students turn out to be less competitive,unable to well adapt to their positions,and fail to show due comprehensive quality of new technical personnel.In addressing the problems,this paper researches the teaching mode of automobile repair major in secondary vocational schools under the guidance of working-process orientation theories,and introduced the theories into the curriculum construction and teaching activities,so as to provide reference for the reform in the teaching mode of automobile repair major.The study focuses on the construction of the teaching mode based on working process,pointing out that the curriculum should correspond to the reality on the basis of extensive researches.Thus the traditional teaching mode should be modified based on the task-driven pedagogic approach,i.e.the working-process orientation method,into a series of teaching approaches suitable for the automobile repair majors in secondary vocational schools.Last,taking the course ‘The Electro-Control System of Vehicle Motor' in the author's school as a case,which introduces the actual process of the electro-control testing in the enterprises into class as the learning circumstances,the paper presents a complete teaching process from the task introduction to the evaluation and feedback with working-process oriented thinking.The teaching mode based on working-process orientation aims at improving students' vocational capability,changes the traditional teaching approach and the cooperation mode between teachers and students,stresses on making students the principal role in class and the working-process knowledge as the teaching content,increases the learning motivation,tremendously shorten the gap between schools and enterprises,so that it is more beneficial to foster the technical talents of high quality and skills.The study of the project can as well be used for providing references on teaching reform in the related majors in the similar schools.
