With the improvement of China's comprehensive national strength,especially in recent years,the visits between leaders of China and Peru,the further development of the cooperative relationship between China and Peru,learning Chinese,understanding Chinese culture become more and more attention by the Peruvian people,and Chinese teaching materials is an important part of Chinese teaching,It is a communicative bridge between teachers and students.The demand of Chinese textbooks is increasing,and People's requirements for Chinese textbooks are getting higher and higher."Happy Chinese" was the result of the cooperation between the Hanban and the British Culture Commission.Thereafter,the Hanban published the other 44 languages in the English version of "Happy Chinese",which was implemented in different countries.In Peru,the Spanish language as the official language,and in country's secondary school teaching,"Happy Chinese"(Spanish version)of the teaching materials used the most frequently.As Happy Chinese(Spanish version)is based on "Happy Chinese"(English version)as the blueprint for publishing,so when using it,you may encounter some problems.This paper,taking the use of “Happy Chinese” in the Peru Arequipa three middle schools as an example,combining with the Current Situation of Chinese Education in Peru middle school,makes a survey on the use of Chinese textbooks in Peru by means of questionnaires,interviews and classroom observation,Analyzes the problems which was found in the teaching practice,and explores the advantages of the teaching materials in teaching practice and the problems encountered and the solutions.This paper analyzes the incompatibility of "Happy Chinese" in the teaching process and how to deal with it in the process of teaching,how to arrange the teaching activities reasonably and come up with the constructive teaching strategies.Through the analysis of the use of "Happy Chinese" in the Peruvian middle school,the author try to give some suggestions on how to choose and write the localized textbooks.
