Painting diary serves as bridge to help students to combine reality life with painting.With its application to fine arts lessons in primary school,it can change the current situation that students “turn a blind eye” to surrounding matters after training and make them gradually form habits to observe life.Teachers can help students to constantly collect creation resources,guide them to observe life in all aspects and form good habits to omnivorously record what they have seen by virtue of teaching method of painting diary.In this way,students can not only gradually focus on beauty of life,but also improve their ability to observe and expressiveness in painting by virtue of various observations in life.Meanwhile,students shall constantly fetch,filtrate and explain received information,integrate and organize pattern information collected in the mind,and finally show in pictures during regular homework.After this sort of repetitive conceptual work,it will naturally helps students to reach their goal for “visual literacy” step by step,and finally helps students to adapt to development in the vision era with ability to explain and express pattern information.Based on investigation and research on existence and application situation of painting diary in Urumqi,we find there are no classes related to painting diary or similar key words in the current art textbooks of primary school(PAP edition and PEP edition).After summary of textbooks in two editions,classes about memory and life recording similar to painting diary,can only account less than 5%.Questionnaire of six primary schools in Urumqi and feedback from interview show that the majority of teachers and students have never had an access to painting diary.It also finds that it is universal for students not dare or can not paint,to have a lot of repetitive homework and weak awareness to observe.Well teachers have no effective solutions to these problems.Therefore,based on supplement of this kind of courses in Urumqi and improvement of solutions to part of practical problems in the art education in the primary school,this article has combined features that painting diary can record life and associate with reality,systematic and complete observation method,and teaching strategy with fun and effectiveness,as well as unit form for teaching units in painting diary.It has formed complete unit teaching plan for painting diary during detailed teaching practice,and can verify relaxation effect of painting diary teaching upon problems that students dare not or can not paint,or have lots of repetitive homework and weak awareness to observe.
