Composition writing teaching has always been the focus and difficulty of Chinese teaching.More and more teachers have realized that life is the basis of writing.This paper focuses on how to expand the writing ability about life-based compositions of junior high school students,through questionnaire survey for students and interviews with the teachers.I make an effort to find out the problems appeared during the period of the procedure of guide writing of the teachers who are at present stage and the reasons why Chinese junior students' compositions break from life reality,and try to look for a strategy of guide writing which fits the condition of student learning to make writing for students more simple and interesting,to make the teachers more relaxed and willing to give writing classes at the same time.This paper is divided into 3 chapters.Chapter 1 describes the background,significance and the current research situation of the lifebased guide writing,meanwhile,gives the conceptual definition between “life-based compositions” and “guide writing”,reveals the author's ideas and methods.Chapter 2 is mainly about the survey of the situation of the life-based compositions written by students and the guidance of the teachers' teaching using the interviews and questionnaires.According to the survey: in the process of students' writing,the difficulty for them is that they have nothing to write about and do not know how to organize the materials;While the teaching of teachers exposes that they don't have the clear teaching plans for the guide writing systematically and make the review methods too simply and so on.After analysis,the appearance of these situations has to do with the students,teachers,teaching materials and social factors.Chapter 3 is based on the teaching practice of the author himself,starts with the accumulation of materials,combined with learning tools such as mind mapping from the guidance of thinking,practice and checking,gives the practical suggestions and assumptions for the guidance of life-based compositions to improve the teaching of the teachers.
