Learning community is a new type of educational philosophy and a new type of relationship between teachers and students.Under this philosophy,Chinese classes in primary school set specific common goals and create learning environment for equal dialogue for teachers and students so as to achieve mutual learning and common progress.Under this philosophy,Chinese classes in primary school is able to promote mutual learning,common progress and equal dialogue among teachers and students.Such kind of classes are ideal for equality among students and equality between teachers and students.This research based on the practices in Chinese classes in Primary school with the Forth Primary School Affiliated to Fuzhou Institute of Education(shorted as the 4th affiliated primary school)which has relatively mature practice in this philosophy as subject,try to come up with an effective method of building learning community.Under the guidance of this philosophy,this school created classes that is featured by face-to-face communication,gently discussion and inspiration of multiple ideas.From their practice we can see that the philosophy of learning community including commonality,democracy and pursuit of excellence.Basic features of learning community in Chinese classes of primary school include coordination,flexibility,inclusiveness,and sociality.It requires skills such as earnest listening gentle conversation,mutual learning,gentle communication,linkage and reorganization.From practice of this primary school we also recognized the principle of"listening is more important than speaking" in building learning community in Chinese classes of primary schools.
