General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out in his report to the 19 th National Congress of the Party: “Employment is the greatest livelihood of the people.We must adhere to the employment priority strategy and active employment policy to achieve higher quality and fuller employment.” Employment is the foundation of people's livelihood and it is the realization of society.Harmonious and stable,the top priority of economic development.Due to the support of national policies,China's vocational education has made great contributions to the cultivation of talents and the provision of employment labor.Higher vocational graduates have consistently maintained a high employment rate for many years.However,the employment quality of graduates in higher vocational colleges is not optimistic.“Employment” is not only to select a job,but also to continue to maintain it in a sustained manner.The purpose of improving the quality of employment is to make employees “job” and not only Quantity,but also to durability.The "employment rate" can only reflect the "quantity" of employment in colleges and universities,and cannot effectively evaluate the "quality" of employment.The employment quality of graduates is an important indicator reflecting the quality of personnel training in colleges and universities.It should not be biased.It only pays attention to the employment rate and ignores high quality and employment.The initial employment refers to the first job that graduates enter into society after obtaining a diploma.This job is generally considered to have a profound influence on the development of their subsequent career.Vocational colleges are originally aimed at cultivating practical professional skills talents with employment as the goal.They require higher professional matching.However,due to the differences with undergraduate college students,there are serious mismatches between employment and majors in the process of initial employment for higher vocational graduates,whether it is for students and For the family,it is a huge waste for the national education investment,resulting in a low level of national human resources and young people constantly changing their careers and affecting social stability.The mismatch between vocational graduates' skills and employment market demand will seriously affect the graduates' income and job satisfaction,resulting in a higher turnover rate.Therefore,the employment and professional matching of higher vocational graduates has become an urgent problem to be solved.This study conducted a preliminary analysis of the graduates' employment data from the 2015 and 2016 two-year surveys of Henan YY Vocational College,and conducted data analysis on the college students who had been employed in full-time work six months after their graduation in the last two years.The following three conclusions are drawn:(1)In the past two years,the overall situation of job matching between graduates and professional graduates in vocational colleges has improved,but overall,the degree of matching has yet to be improved.The matching situation is in graduation year,gender,family education background,and professional type.There are significant differences between these five variables and the internship experience.(2)At the time of graduates' initial employment,personal factors,post factors,and college factors all influence the graduates' ability to find jobs that match the major.(3)Graduates with a high degree of match between the initial employment position and the major will receive higher salary income and job satisfaction,thus reducing the turnover rate.
