Rural Left-behind Children Care And Protection Social Work Intervention Research

With the development of social productivity,the process of industrialization and urbanization of China continues to accelerate,as well as the level of urbanization increasing to a high standard.A large number of rural migrant workers are flocking to the cities to seek a better development to improve the economic status of the family.Due to the constraints of objective factors such as living conditions,educational conditions and care conditions,most peasant workers who enter the cities from rural areas are unable to bring young children to take care of.So that the group of Left-behind children appears who can only be supervised and taken care of by their relatives and friends in the hometown.the cities migrant workers truly provide certain material conditions and foundations for their children’s education and growth,but it still objectively makes certain negative impacts: The Left-behind children,lacking of affection,caring and effective guardianship,have been separated from their parents for a long time facing serious problems of life loss,psychological imbalance,academic failure,and frequent personal and psychological infringements which have triggered a strong concern from all sectors of society.Although the country has already issued relevant child protection policies,even some special protection for children’s as well as the rural left-behind children’s rights is being drafted containing various government departments and the social forces,presently the policies’ timeliness and effects can’t touch the goal.The promulgation and implementation of the China Child Welfare Law has also been lagging behind.Based on the above backgrounds,we must strengthen and broaden our thinking and carry out the professional operation of care and protection for rural left-behind children in practice.First of all,the paper sorts out and summarizes the research results of the existing care and protection work for left-behind children in rural areas with the research methods ofliterature,survey statistics,interviews and action to promote the process of care and protection of rural left-behind children combining the basic social work theory and social work intervention methods.Second,based on the status of left-behind children in D county and the care and protection of left-behind children,this paper focuses on the the main problems and needs in these children’s real life under the field surveys and data collection.At the same time,this paper analyzes the situation of left-behind children Xiao mai deeply with the case form to explore how to solve the issues such as school works,family,and life through social work case methods.Besides we will involve in interpersonal issues with group work methods and focus on the security issues through the community work method and action research.Finally,in the light of the current lack of family care,social care,and school care protection for left-behind children in rural areas,we propose active,positive,and effective interventions in social work to build social supports for the protection of primary care for left-behind children about themselves,families,schools,and communities.The network cooperates with the measures and suggestions for solving the practical problems of rural left-behind children to promotes the implementation of the care and protection policy of this special group in China.
