The discipline standards of geography think that in the information age,geographic information ability is the basic ability that students should master during their lifetime development,including the ability to acquire geographic information,the ability to interpret geographic information and the ability to use geographic information.However,in the process of geography teaching in high schools,the cultivation and application of geographical information ability is often overlooked.Regardless of whether it is in life or in geography learning,teachers' emphasis on cultivating students' geographic information ability is an important direction in current geography teaching.The theoretical significance of this paper lies in the construction of a geographic information capability evaluation system based on the research of related geographic information capabilities.It can provide theoretical and practical support for evaluating student's geographic information ability,point out the problems of student evaluation results,and point out the corresponding training strategies.In this paper,literature research methods,in-depth interviews,questionnaire surveys and other research methods are adopted.The evaluation system of geographic information capabilities is constructed in accordance with the requirements of educational theory and geography curriculum standards.The selection criteria for evaluation goals and evaluation indicators are established,and finally established.Rating level.The first grade of Qingjiang Middle School in Jiangsu Province was investigated and tested.The results of the evaluation show that the height of a student in the measured height is low,the ability to interpret geographic information is weak,and the overall ability to use geographic information is poor.After analysis,the reason for the lack of geographical information ability of Grade One students is that students' geographic information literacy is weak,they cannot refine their geographical information expression,their ability to perceive daily geographical information is not enough,the use of geographical representation tools is not skilled,and eventually students are The old and new knowledge cannot be integrated.Based on the principles of geography curriculum and the principles of pedagogy,this article proposes a strategy for cultivating students' geographic information from the perspectives of acquiring geographic information,interpreting geographical information,and using geographical information.Including in-depth processing of geographical information,grasping the connection between knowledge,establishing geographical knowledge network to cultivate students' ability to acquire geographic information,and expanding geographical knowledge,strengthening memorization,and skillfully using geographical representation tools to achieve diverse expression of geographical representations Interpretation of geographic information capabilities;processing and processing of geographical information,creating new and old information between the repeated creation,strengthening geographical reasoning to train students in the use of geographical information capabilities.
