There is a growing awareness in academic and practical circle that improving individual creative performance can contribute a lot to organization innovation and making full use of employee's creative potential is very crucial for organization management. Although the accumulated evidence points to the importance of innovation champion for keeping innovative ideas alive and thriving, empirical investigation of these individuals is limited. Since leadership has been widely considered as an important factor that influence individual behavior and delegation of authority has become a very popular leadership style, it is very meaningful to explore the relationship between delegation and innovation champion. So in this context this study tries to explore the influence of delegation on innovation champion and the mechanism between them, involving the mediation role of creative self-efficacy and moderation of organizational based self-esteem.This thesis is composed of seven chapters. Chapter 1, the Introduction, mainly tells us something about research background, content and so on. Chapter 2 is Literature Review. After sorting with some extant studies in a particular vein, which are relevant to the topic of delegation and innovation champion, their mediation mechanisms and mediation mechanisms, we will give some comments in this chapter. Chapter 3, Theory and Hypothesis, presents the process of hypothesis reasoning in theory. Chapter 4 is Study design and Data Collection. Chapter 5 is about Data analysis and Results. A data analysis from the sample of 291 employees in various industries shows that:(1) There is an inverted U-shape relationship between delegation of authority and innovation champion;(2) creative self-efficacy has played as mediated role between them;(3) organizational based self-esteem moderates this relationship. Chapter 6 is the about Conclusion, Contribution and Future Direction. In this part, we will summarize the main conclusion, put forward with theoretical contribution and practical implication, and indicate some limitations and future research directions.
