Sichuan is China's traditional agricultural province, Which is also one of China's major grain-producing province. The grain output of 33.871 million tons in 2013, ranking sixth in the country, a little less than to Heilongjiang, Henan, Shandong, Jiangsu, Jilin five Province, Sichuan Province is China's western region's largest grain producing areas. Guangdong, Zhejiang, Jiangsu and other major grain producing areas had the sharp decline in arable land, urbanization, threats to food security has emerged.
