A Quality Improvement Study At A Company

Economic globalization is a general trend because of the development of society and the progress of science and technology. This increased the global competitions and companies running circumstances therefore become difficult than before. Companies with good quality management capabilities would be in a better position in the new competitive market.A company is a large petrochemical equipment manufacturing base of SINOPEC, professional in towers, reactors and exchangers manufacturing, and is a production plan oriented company in general, because most of its products are for government or state-owned groups. However now it has to face the tougher market and responsibility for its own profits or losses. The limitation of the old quality management system is come out gradually. Therefore how to strengthen the quality management system and gets reinvigorated is an important task.The thesis introduces the present situation and the quality management system of A Co., Ltd., lists and analyzes three quality management problems which had caused complaints by the supervision and the customer, summarizes the surface and further factors by using system analysis method and Dependency Graph as per ISO 9000 Quality Management System and correlation theory. Then the factors have been concluded to three aspects:management regulations, process monitoring and quality culture. Combining partial concept of the Performance Excellence Model, some strategies are put forward on how to improve the quality management level, and some cases proved the validity of these strategies. Last several supporting measures, including improve leaders'overall qualities, full participation and set up a separate quality improve grouped, to ensure the continuous execution.Through the above work, the thesis intends to improve A company's quality control capabilities and effect, which could help to bring more benefit, then promote the enterprise development and achievement as a whole. Meanwhile, the thesis also intends to provide reference and guidance function on quality improvement for other similar enterprises.
