| volleyball is a very important course in China’s primary school PE courses. But, compared with other sports, it is not well developed in primary school. The reasons are as follows:(1) High technological requirement. It is hard to master at the beginning. The average rate of touching the ball is low. The rate of missing the ball is high with frequent pause, which decreases students’ enthusiasm of participating.(2)Because of the different economic development among regions, the facilities of sports infrastructures has difference, which causes the unbalance of the development of volleyball.(3)Since the ball is hard, in the process of learning, students are afraid of pain and hurt, which makes the students lack the passion of participating. For all the above reasons, this thesis discusses the possibility of introducing Cool Volleyball into traditional volleyball primary schools. It explores the new forms of developing volleyball in primary school and provides new ways for the implement of the course purpose of primary school PE and Health as well as the early enlightenment of competitive volleyball.This thesis uses the method of material searching, experiment, data collection, questionnaire, interview, comparative analysis and so on. This thesis takes the students of class(1), grade 5 of Chengdu Wu Gui Qiao primary school as the subject of the experiment, and takes the PE teachers of Chengdu Wu Gui Qiao primary school, volleyball teachers of Chengdu Sport University, volleyball experts of Chengdu Sports Bureau and some national judges as the interviewees. After a semester’s experimental teaching of Cool Volleyball course and questionnaire to subjects of the experiment and interviewees before and after the experiment, the thesis gets the conclusions as follows through analysis:(1) The mastering of the basic volleyball technique: Through the comparative analysis of the experimental data of the learning efficiency of basic volleyball technique, the average technical index of passing the ball, setting up the ball and serving the ball of Cool Volleyball is higher than those of six-person volleyball with obvious difference. And the test results of the technical index of the setting up the ball and passing the ball of Cool Volleyball has no obvious difference from that of gas volleyball. But the technical index of serving the ball of Cool Volleyball is a little bit higher than that of gas volleyball with obvious difference. Then again, through the analysis of the experimental data of the efficiency of the teaching competition, the thesis finds that the number of touching the ball per one score of Cool Volleyball and that of back-and-forth of the ball is obviously higher than that of six-person volleyball. Compared with gas volleyball, Cool Volleyball has obvious difference from it in this aspect, but the effect of competition of gas volleyball is better.(2)Promoting the implement of the course purpose of primary school PE and Health: Cool Volleyball is entertaining, body-building and competitive, which cultivates students’ interests and makes students master sports techniques and experience the value of fitness as well as promotes the development of social adaptability during the process of students’ participation.(3) Linking with competitive volleyball: The competition rules, sphericity and character of sports technique have links with competitive volleyball, which makes Cool Volleyball lay foundations for the early enlightenment of competitive volleyball and so to promote the development of youth volleyball sports.(4) The facilities and faculties: The play ground of Cool Volleyball is small. The net is shorter. The purchasing the facilities is convenient. And it has low requirement for the sports facilities. Meanwhile, the rules and method are simple and flexible and it’s easier for teachers to master. |
