Geographical image is an important part of geographical learning content, and it is an important carrier to express geographical phenomena, characteristics and rules. The new curriculum standard of high school geography puts forward the skills to make students learn to read, analyze and apply geographic image,charts and geographic data, learn to analyze and organize information; The new curriculum reform puts forward to cultivate students' learning ability, and cultivate their ability to solve problems. Geographic image is not only the object of geographical learning, but also the tool of learning, the expression of different categories of geographic image and it's reflect the content is not the same, the methods and process of student learn it and the ways of thinking also be quite different from others. A large number of research and teachers' experience has proved that a good grasp of geographical image learning strategies can help students to under stand the geographical image and geographical knowledge, and promote the development of spatial thinking. With respect to the imagery of the geography of junior middle school, the type of map are more diverse in senior middle school, the geographical content are more rich and in-depth, geographical image as a tool used to grasp the role of geographic knowledge and skills to promote the learning of geography is more obvious. I hope that through this research to understand the characteristics of different types of geographic picture, know the habit, methods, processes and techniques status of students learning strategies in geography image learning, and analysis of the reasons for the problems of students' learning strategies, according to the current situation and reasons, combined with my teaching experience and the communication with the students, give the specific stra tegies can be used for reference to students learn geographical image.According to the classification standard of domestic well-known scholars points for geographical image, This paper will be divided into 5 categories of geographic images, they are geographical map, geographical landscape, geographical diagram, geographical isograms and geography graphs. according to cartography theory and the educational psychology of the theory of learning strategies, I prepare the "High school geographical image learning strategy questionnaire", The questionnaire survey was conducted on 202 students of grade three in senior high school in Yudu No.2 Middle School, through data analysis of the status quo of five kinds of image learning, draw the following conclusions:1. According to the analysis of the questionnaire, students have the following problems of geographic image learning:(1) The perception ability of the key information of the geographic image is weak, resulting in the effective information can not be quickly obtained, and it will be more difficult to answer the relevant geographical knowledge.(2) The habit of students reading is poor and the image processing ability in image analysis, drawing, image express and image apply is not strong, lack of strategies for learning geographic images.(3) The basic knowledge of the geography is relatively weak, which is refle cted in the weak foundation of the image itself.(4) The students' ability of spatial location and the conversion ability of spat ial image is insufficient.2, Based on the analysis of the results and problems of the questionnaire data, there are the reasons:(1) The students are not paid enough attention to the geography image as the geography learning tool and the important study object.(2) The students' basic knowledge of geography is relatively weak, on the one hand, the students lack the knowledge of geography images, on the other hand, it is weak in the geographical principle, the characteristic and the law knowle dge which is related with the geographical image.(3) Students lack of skills to deal with images, It is not strong in the ability of flexible use of a variety of ways to resolve the geographical image of the ability.(4) The way for students to acquire the knowledge of geographic image is few, which basically come from the classroom, the teacher, the teaching material and so on.In this paper, the specific strategies for each class of Geographic Image learning analysis and demonstration of the corresponding case, based on the summary of the five types of learning strategies in the specific geographic image, the article puts forward the following points:1. The author thinks that the teachers and students should be fully aware of the geography image is geographical tool and a very important study object, should be good at reading and analysis of map, use the map in learning.2. Students should learn to summarize geographical image learning rules and strategy for the practical application to combining the concrete case, in the study combined with his creative inspiration, replicability, there will be unexpected h arvest.3. students need to cultivate a good geographical image of cognitive habits, and actively develop the ability of geographical thinking.The advantage of this paper is that, for each type of image, the geographic image learning strategy of natural geography is specific to each type of image, and some suggestions are put forward.The deficiency of this paper lies in the fact that due to the small range of the object of study, analysis the student geography image learning problems is not very comprehensive, corresponding strategy did not take full account of higher learning ability and lower learning, the difference of students' ability. Because of a wide range of scope, the depth is not enough. Due to the lack of long-term teaching experience, the summary of the strategy is not very in place.
