With the development of the research on STS education held by the scholars abroad,STS education is now attracted the attention by the Chinese educators.More and more Chinese educators started to research the STS education and practice its theories into the classrooms.They hope to make up the traditional teaching’s defect and promotion students’ comprehensive development by put STS education integrate to traditional teaching.STS education emphasizes subject’s comprehensive,in order to promote students understand the relationship between science,technology,society.This study takes the STS course of a school in shanghai as research object,and discuss the question of STS course’s evaluation.Firstly,the article defined the related concepts of the STS course,course evaluation,School-based course evaluation etc.,Then the article based on Taylor’s objective evaluation pattern and course evaluation theory,create tool of STS course evaluation.In this study,author analysis this aspects:course development’s basis,course object,course content and course implementation.the author through analyze teaching material,teaching plan and teaching video ect.,evaluate the STS course and hope for promotion the course more perfect.This article be divided into six parts in total.the first part is “introduction” that introduce the origin of article title and the significance of this study.The second part is "literature review",this part describes STS course,School-based course evaluation,course evaluation’s concept and the STS course related research.The third part is“study design”,this part is described mainly process and methods of this study.The fourth part is “structure STS course evaluation system”,this part systemic describes the origin of course evaluate indicators,also explains all indicators.The fifth part is “analysis and discussion”,this part draw a conclusion and analyze basis of course development,course object,course content,and the practice of the STS course of the School in shanghai through the tool of course evaluation.The sixth part is“conclusion”,that summarizes the conclusions of the research process.By the study,the author draws the following conclusions:From the view point of school development,the STS course of the school fit to the demand of the school development;From the teaching materials,the course’s goal and course’s content of the School fit the concept’s demands of STS educational;From the teaching aspect,theSchool has adopted the reasonable method of teaching evaluation,the effect of teaching can be achieved requirement that STS course’s request on students.Meanwhile,the author also found the deficiency of the STS course,in order to make the course more perfect,the author also make suggestions for improvement.
