A Comparative Study Of The Writing Parts Of Chinese Textbooks In Cross-Strait Primary Schools

Chinese writing has been one of the focus to teachers and the one of the difficulties to the primary school students,and the textbook for primary students has become one of the most important auxiliary tools.Therefore,by optimizing the design and function of textbook,the textbook could fully assist teachers to sufficiently teach writing and help students to complete the writing task efficiently,which is positive to improve teachers' teaching quality,and enhance students' writing ability.In this paper the author compares the writing parts in The people's Education Press(2003 Edition)and Taiwan Kang Xuan Educational Publishing Agency(2015 Edition),and try to find the similarities and differences between the two different textbooks,and try to make more suggestion on improve the writing part in the future primary school students textbook.This article is prepared by referring the model in references,and we compared the learning schedule,learning content and guidance part under the syllabus.In order to compare the structure of textbooks,we mainly compared project setting and the connection between reading and writing.We found that in The people's Education Press(2003 Edition),the writing project is closed to oral communication and the oral communication shared the educational materials.In the writing part of Kang Xuan,detailed classification of writing projects could be found in <Keben> and <Xizuo>,and the writing skills introduction could be found in <Keben> and the main idea practice could be found <Xizuo>.We found that two textbooks are comprehensive textbooks and the reading and the writing are both dependent and connected.In the learning content part,we mainly analyzed from the declarative knowledge and procedural knowledge.The procedural knowledge usually exists in the writing training,and based on the analysis of the theme and genre in the practices,procedural knowledge were compared.Pep presents less declarative knowledge compared with Kang Xuan;and procedure knowledge are set in practices,however,in Kang Xuan version these procedure knowledge are presented by the thematic knowledge.Kang Xuan textbooks is a better choice for students in the view of structure of textbooks.We also compared the templates and procedure introduction in order to make the difference of guidance between Ren Jiao and Kang Xuan.All the templates are from reading text,however,the instruction in PEP could be regarded as a task-driving model,in which the guiding of writing is fulfilled by practice and introduction of practice;and in the edition of Kang Xuan,more procedure guidance could be found to help students to analyze and learn writing skills.In addition,many pictures used to encourage students to set the main idea of the text and build the structure of text could also be found in the edition of Kang Xuan.Kang Xuan seems like offer more diversified guidance to students compared with PEP.We tried to pretend several suggestion on redacting of PEP based on the comparison of the writing parts in two textbooks.Firstly,in order to clearly present the study aims and the learning content,project setting should be systematized.Secondly,declarative knowledge should be added more to help students use writing skills by understanding the concepts and process guidance.Thirdly,the declarative knowledge should be added to help students understand how to construct a text.Fourthly,help students get the writing skills and writing ability by simplifying the design of practices.Fifthly,guiding students to learn the example expressions presented in readings.Sixthly,enhance the guidance of writing skills,and help students specifying the type,construction of texts and overcome the difficulties in practices.Finally,add an additional article revising introduction and offer students some revision skills to help them to revise their manuscript by themselves.
