The national Ukrainian higher education started its development in 1991,since that time the government policy in education was changing,sometimes in different directions,from real desire and hard work to imitate the Western European model to ignoring of the responsibilities which Ukrainian state had after signing the Bologna declaration.Especially during the period of 2010-2014 years,Ukrainian higher education became more centralized.After revolution called Euromaidan in 2014 the reform of higher Education of Ukraine started to move faster towards the Bologna process target.This research is consisting of 5 chapters.Chapter 1 is an introduction.It mainly focuses on the research background information,such as significance of research,research methods,literature review and main concepts definitions.Chapter 2 is describing the political and economic background of the Ukrainian Bologna reform.The chapter has a great importance for the research,as shows us how the higher education policy in Ukraine is connected to the mainstreams of Ukrainian politics,every time when governments are changing the political targets it influences the higher education policy as well.Chapter 3 is an overview of Ukrainian higher education development,from Middle ages,when the first prototypes of Ukrainian universities were born,to nowadays process.The significance of this analysis is that it shows through historical description that the Ukrainian education as well as Ukrainian nation are not just former Soviet Union part,although the Soviet Union heritage plays a significant role in Ukraine now.It is considered by Ukrainian society as well as educators that Ukraine needs to create a pro-Western model and eliminate Soviet vestiges.Chapter 4 analyzes the reforms which were introduced after signing the Bologna Declaration by Ukraine.Chapter 5 introduces conclusions and further research prospect.This research could be helpful for those who are interested in post-Soviet Union countries,eastern European region,Bologna process and higher education research,and,of course,for those who would like to discover more about Ukraine.……...
