As an essential link in the kindergarten education,art education has attracted increasing attention from both society and educators.Unfortunately,for a long time in the past,China’s fine art education is more about skills than experiencing,consequently the cultivation of appreciation more or less ignored.Against the backdrop of the Second Curriculum Reform and in line with the Child-Oriented educational concept,more attention is being paid to improving children’s capacity of art appreciation.And appreciative activities are organized to arouse children’s awareness of art beauty,promote their perception of art and stimulate their originality and imagination.In many kindergartens,there has appeared in recent years an educational activity——appreciation of famous paintings,through which,as is hoped by educators,children can get close to both master painters and grand works of art.A recent survey and documents available reveal that the above mentioned activity is usually conducted among children of intermediate or top classes,but seldom among children of beginners’ class,for,as is commonly agreed,kids in the beginners’ class can do nothing but scrawl.However,lack of appreciation training in this learning stage will produce an ill impact in children’s later perception and expression of art.To offset that impact,the author proposes in this research paper appreciation of famous paintings among children in kindergarten’s begining class.Based on investigations into both the teachers’ and parents’ attitudes towards art education and the usual educational methods as well,this author has learnt some about the status quo of the course of appreciation of famous paintings.Thus,the author will start the activity research among 30 kids,in an effort to accumulate information about appreciation of famous paintings,explore proper contents for this course,observe and record kids’ learning performance,analyze their art expressive power,and extract several efficient guiding tactics.This research proved that can carry out the appreciation of famous paintings activity among children in kindergarten’s beginning class through practice,children’s perception of famous paintings is closely related to their cognitive experiences and expression abilities,the observation of content and details in the picture are better than the emotional experience on migration feel.Thus,putting forward the guiding strategies of teachers in the activity,such as situational approach——to create aninteresting situation;problem approach——to help the kids acquire a rudimentary sense of color,style;interactive approach——to help the kids gain a keener understanding of the target painting and its relative background,and to build up their art expression;comprehensive approach——to fully stimulate the kids’ senses for the sake of deep experience,to develop their comprehensive competence and spark their interest in art and art appreication.At the same time,put forward some suggestions:kindergarten and teachers can further strengthen the famous paintings appreciation activities;respect for individual differences of children in the development process,to give children a full appreciation of space and time,consciously guide,and pay attention to the accumulation of material.
