Pad class(Presentation-Assimilation-Discussion)is a new teaching method developed in recent years.In this paper,Pad class is applied to the course of information technology in the middle school in order to improve students' self-leaning abilities,self-inquiring abilities,cooperative-learning.abilities and learning efficiency,meanwhile,to decrease the teaching pressures of teachers.We hope the applications of Pad class can benefit the teaching innovations and creations of the course of information technology in the middle school.On the basis of investigation of related materials and the teaching practice of Pad class,the author have finished the follow work.(1)To elaborate the domestic and foreign developments of information technology teachings and its existing problems.(2)To sketch the teaching principles of of Pad class and its domestic and foreign developments.(3)To design the teaching plan and implementation of Pad class of the course of information technology.In this teaching investigation,the students in the class 7 and 8 of WanZhai middle school in Zhuhai city are selected as the research participants.Class 7 is selected as the experimental class,and class 8 is the comparative class,and the experimental period is one teaching term.Before teaching experiments,the students' cognitive abilities,scores and practice skills in the two class are almost at the same level,and the teaching contents are also identical and are taught by the same teacher.The pre-measure and post-measure methods are used to test the students before and after the teaching experiments.And the self-learning abilities and studying interests are investigated by questionnaires to verify the teaching effects.The experimental results is as follows:(1)Pad class can effectively improve the quality of teaching of information technology in middle school and the students' scores have been improved in a distinct extent.(2)Pad class can stimulate learning initiatives of students,cultivate their self-learning abilities,and self-inquiring abilities,and moreover improve learning efficiency.(3)Pad class can not only improve the self-learning abilities of students,but also decrease teaching loads of teachers with comparison of traditional teaching methods,and the teaching efficiency and effects have been improved obviously.Pad class is a new teaching method that is put forward for the courses in university.And its teaching practice in university brings good teaching effects.Then,this teaching method is applied to the courses of English,Chinese,and Biology in middle school,and their teaching effects are also obvious.But by now there are no teaching cases of Pad class for the course of information technology in middle school.For this reason,the author tries to apply Pad class to the course of information technology in middle school to investigate whether Pad class can improve students scores and decrease teaching loads of teachers.Meanwhile,we hope our experimental research can provide a helpful trial for teaching of information technology in middle school.Moreover,because of our limited teaching experiences,short time teaching practice,and many factors that influence the research effects,the conclusions will be verified by more teaching practice in the future.
