There is a traditional mindset is that,many people think English just is a subject,with the new demand of social development and the appeal of students' comprehensive development by nation,more and more people is aware of the importance of English.Gradually,most people change the view of English.Now,English is one of the essential skill for everyone.At the seme time,the primary English as an enlighten stage for students who want to cultivate the interest of learning English and development the comprehensive ability of English attract more and more attention and exploration.Obviously,the traditional way of teaching English is too single and sterile to children,and the activity of it is also too little to student,so this model already can't adapt to the development of society and the need of students.In order to cultivate the student's interest in learning English and development the comprehensive language ability of students,some scholars proposed the activity-oriented teaching,it means the way of teaching English rely on activities,it is completely opposed to the traditional teaching model.Teaching with activities is not only conforms to the characteristic of body and mind's development of elementary students,but also is helpful to arouse the interest of students to learn English and improve the oral communicative competence.But,the practice of activity-oriented teaching of primary English is not plain sailing,the pattern and efficiency of it is constantly oppugned by many people,so how to improve the efficiency of the activity-oriented teaching of primary English is a problem that the English teachers have been exploring.And this thesis also focus on this problem and strive to put forward some strategies to improve the efficiency of the activity-oriented teaching of primary English.This thesis consists of four chapters.First of all,the part of introduction introduced the background?purpose?meaning and method of the research of this thesis;Second,the theoretical research part defined the core concepts,and it also distinguished the "activities" between activity-oriented teaching of primary English and general teaching.It also analyzed the main factors and characteristics of activity-oriented teaching,and expounded the theoretical basis of the activity-oriented teaching of primary English;Third,in this part,it collected and analyzed the date of questionnaire investigation?interview and class case,and gave some analysis from the activities'goal?content?form?evaluation of activity-oriented teaching of primary English in order to know about the current situation and cause of them.Finally,in order to promote the effective of activity-oriented teaching of primary English,it put forward some corresponding suggestions and strategies of teaching.
