Teachers' professional identity is the basis for teachers to do a well job in teaching and educating people.It is related to the professional development of teachers and the healthy growth of the students.On the basis of questionnaire survey and interview,we adopt SPSS software,descriptive statistical analysis,correlation analysis and single factor variance to analyze the status of professional identity and professional development of primary school teachers in Shanghai,analyzing the relationship and influence factors between the two.Furtherly,we propose some suggestions to enhance the professional identity of primary school teachers and to promote professional development.The main conclusions of this study are as follows:1? the level of professional identity of primary school teachers in Shanghai is high.2? The occupational identity of primary school teachers in Shanghai has significant differences in gender,school location,teaching age,education level,professional title and income level.3? The role values and professional values of Shanghai primary school teachers' professional identity structure have a significant positive impact on professional development.4? Teachers' professional identity affects their consciousness of devotion to education.5? Teachers' professional identity affects their professional development.6?Teachers' professional identity helps to alleviate teacher's role conflict.The recommendations of this study are:At the governmental level--we must create a fair and harmonious educational atmosphere.The school level--creating a good atmosphere for teachers' professional development.At the teacher level--we should set up positive vocational values and strive to improve our quality.
