Recent years, the global mobile Internet industry has showed explosive growth, the great variety of the mobile Internet applications and the convenient access to information have brought whole new experiences to peoples’ work, life and study, and have had great impact on the whole society. The mobile Internet industry in our country started from the2G times and grew up in the3G times. Since the operation licenses of the3rd Generation Mobile Communications (3G) were issued to China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on Jan.7th,2009, the mobile Internet connection speed, the performance of the consumers’handset terminals and the functions of the mobile Internet applications have risen dramatically in our country. As the country with the largest population in the world, China is in the ascendant in the mobile Internet industry. The mobile Internet is changing the whole society as well as the competition pattern of the mobile communications markets in our country, the development strategy of the mobile Internet of telecommunications operators will play a vital role in the current and long-term development of the enterprises.Taking the approach of data analysis and questionnaire survey, this essay thoroughly analyzes the domestic and international trend of development of Internet, the external macro environment of Hunan local mobile Internet business, industry environment and customer demand; using the method of SWOT analysis, combined with the situations of Hunan Mobile Communications Corporation (i.e. HMCC) and its competitors, it thoroughly analyzes the internal and external conditions of HMCC, and puts forward the overall idea of the development of mobile Internet business of HMCC pointedly. Then from the aspect of three dimensions of industrial value chain、customers and the internal enterprise, it systematically establishes the concrete measures of the development of mobile Internet business of HMCC, some of which have been applied to the development practice of mobile Internet business of HMCC and achieved initial success.
