At present, China is in the period of economic development of the new normal. Under this new circumstance, the external environment and internal management for state-owned energy companies undertake drastic changes. Building dynamic and competitive corporate culture is crucial not only for the survival and development of these enterprises, but also for the reform and development of China's economy. Against the big backdrop of climate change and energy security, low-carbonization has increasingly become the mainstay for international economic system in the future; meanwhile, the exploitation and application of coal are experiencing great changes, and the overall demand for coal and the coal related business are continuously declining. Coal enterprises represented by Group S not only need technological innovation that will push forward the upgrading of coal industrial cluster, but also have to strengthen internal operation and management so as to ensure steady development. To build and optimize corporate culture is an important way not only to improve corporate competitiveness, influence and publicity, but also to better corporate economic performance and build specialized corporate culture.This paper intends to conduct relevant research for the purpose of practical use on the basis of related theories and models, fully apply management principles and adopt both qualitative and quantitative methodologies. Making the corporate culture of S Group as the research object, this paper will analyze, study, and evaluate the internal and external corporate environment of S Group, summarize the status quo of S Group's corporate culture building, and streamline its corporate cultural values and ideas. What's more, the paper will center around the optimization of corporate culture, discuss the basic ideas and plan of corporate culture construction, build upon the advanced experience of S Group's culture-building, improve and modify the deficiencies of its corporate culture, offer solutions and suggestions for S Group in the construction and optimization of corporate culture and carry out analysis on the implementation of S Group's culture-optimization.
