With the economic globalization and the coming of Internet Plus Era,international shipping has already been closely related to our daily life.A great ner of our necessities are shipped to us,especially imported goods.Literally,without the marine transportation,half of the people on earth may be cold,while theother half may starve.Therefore,shipping industry plays the essential role in social development,economic integration and the improvement of people' sliving standards.Accompanied with the development of the international shipping market,shipping industry has gradually become the important pillar of a nation's foreigntrade.From the 1960 s to the late 20 th century,domestic shipping industry developed rapidly,drove by the booming of international shipping market,which is caused by the Rising of "Asian Four little Dragons" and Chinese reform and opening-up.However,in the early of 21 th century,the whole world faced a big economic recession,and had to stay in a long-term new normal economic situation with"three lows",which are mainly proved by the weak international trade growth,theexplosion of the Asian financial crisis and also the three-period superimposed of China economy.As one of the consequences of this recession,the terrible excess capacity made the whole international shipping market wandering in the bottom.In the addition,the increasing operating costs and the lower freight made all shipping companies facing profit dipped.Years pass by,ship-owners' survival and development were threatened by more and more challenges and disadvantages,caused by fewer profit.And even some small private shipping companies had already beendisappeared in the market.The large shipping company,mentioned in the article,is the management platform of the dry bulk transportation.As one of the three main fleets of China state-owned shipping group,she plays the irreplaceable,role in transportation of national energy resource and import-export trade through the routes between coastal ports and main ports in the world with full support and safety guarantee.To confront the lasting gloomy market and the increasingly fierce competition in shipping industry,she puts forward “enhance internal strength and become more competitive in this downturn.With this idea,Department organization set up to adjust to the company,and strive to resolve the current division between some of the contradictions and problems,and make the department set up more scientificand reasonable,internal management process more smoothly and improving the efficiency of the organization,to better serve the enterprise goals and tasks.The principal theories of organizational structure,organizational behavior and other factors are stated in this article,in order to introduce and analyze the organizational structure of the large shipping company.The study shows that the existing organizational structure of the large shipping company meets the needs of the company development at the moment.However,the inner organizational structure still needs to be innovated,adjusted and optimized,in order to further enhance the company economic benefits and the core competitiveness of the organization,to establish the good brand image,to confront the new normal economic situation.After the insight and analysis,some weakness and shortcomings of organizational structure are pointed out in this article,especially those existing in the operations and vessel management,such as workflow disconnect,conflicts between departments,the lack of information communication,and failed assessment of incentive mechanism.Furthermore,the reasons and influences of these weakness and short comings are illustrated in the article.and Based on the good organization structure of the international large-scale shipping enterprises and the reality of this large shipping company,following Optimize the basic principles of organizational architecture,which includes benefit-first,flow-smooth,coordination of efficiency and monitor,parity of authority and responsibility and benefit,also systemic characteristic.the optimization measures are suggested and illustrated in details in this article,in order to adjust the organization structure with the expected effect? Protection measures are introduced in the article,including the organization leaders,the staff solution,technical support and financial support.At the end of the article,we declare that any design or optimization is filled with good expectation theoretically,so that it should be amended and improved in the reality.
