| With the development of globalization,Chinese enterprises are facing more and more competition.It become a big challenge for Chinese enterprises that how to enhance the competitiveness.In fact,in order to win in this competition and maintain the long-term advantage,all enterprises have to improve the performance of quality,delivery and cost to continuously meet the customer demand and improve the customer satisfaction.Especially for aviation manufacturing industry,the requirement of product and service are higher and strict,so the challenge is bigger.As a mature theory and the advanced management method which has been proved by practice,six sigma management method bring in more possibilities for the enterprises to improve product quality and business performance to enhance and maintain their competitiveness.Based on the discussion of quality management theory and six sigma management theory,this thesis analyzes the current situation and existing problems of quality management structure,distribution of power and resource,process quality control and quality culture in South Pratt&Whitney Corporation.Then analyzes the necessity and feasibility of introduce six sigma into the corporation to resolve these problems.After this,conduct the six sigma management design for the South Pratt&Whitney Corporation as below:First of all,establish the six sigma management organization structure to resolve the departmental barriers problems via the cross functional structure,and define the responsibilities of members to let all participators understand their roles and duties;secondly make the training plan for all members and define the target and content of courses to build a solid basis for the six sigma implementation;once more,conduct the design for project implementation process and promoting plan to ensure the project implement and promote smoothly;finally,focusing on how to maintain the long term effectiveness of six sigma management and conduct the design of incentive system.The scope of six sigma application is expanding and self-innovation is always happening,with the practical application research of this thesis,it is approved that six sigma can help aviation enterprise to improve the performance of quality,on time delivery and cost saving and get the remarkable result.At the same time,raise the point of view that support of executive level,good team building and proper monitoring are the most critical points to ensure six sigma can be implemented successfully.I hope the research result of this thesis can have some guiding function to the six sigma implementation of South Pratt&Whitney Co.Ltd,and may have some reference function to the six sigma implementation in other companies. |
