As a critical national infrastructure,railway occupy the irreplaceable dominance in the inter-provincial and the inter-city transportation system for its characteristics of high volume.stability.security,and plays a vital role in economic and social development in China.In recent years,the high speed railway began to rise in Chinese rail-way construction due to its own advantages.The characteristics of high-speed rail is that it not only has the original transport advantages of ordinary railway,but also has the following advantages of high-speed.comfort and environmental protection.With the party cental committee and the state council attaches great importance to the construction of high-speed railway,the high-speed rail network layout is constantly expanding in China,which will undoubtedly has an important influence on the development of national economy,especially has an important influence on cities along high-speed railway in the way of travel?location selection?elements flow and so on.This article chooses Guiyang city as the object for an in-depth study of the influence of high-speed railway on its economic development.First of all,by summarizing home and abroad related research literature about the impact of high speed railway on regional economic development,and learning the basis of related theory,the author sum sup research background and significance,research ideas and methods of the paper.Second,author makes an in-depth analysis on the inner mechanism of high-speed railway's impact on economic development in the cities and choose some city in the western region as sample in DID model to carry on the empirical analysis.Then makes an in-depth analysis on the main economic effect brought by high-speed railway to the economic development in Guiyang city,which is analyzed in global economic effect and specific economic effect.In the end,the paper measure the change of accessibility?travel time value?urban space gravity in the area after the influence of the high-speed railway to find mechanism required data support,in order to make the relevant conclusions according to the results of the analysis.Based on the high-speed impact on the economic development of Guiyang city,through the layers of analysis,this paper draw the following conclusions:(1)High-speed railway can significantly promote the development of secondary industry and tertiary industry in Guiyang city,but cannot make obvious effect on the first industry.(2)High-speed railway significantly improves the accessibility between Guiyang city and other cities along the high-speed railway.(3)In the long run,the high-speed rail will bring high-speed rail passenger in Guiyang city a great travel time value.(4)High-speed railway enhanced the gravity value between Guiyang and other cities,and significantly increased the total space gravity value of Guiyang city.
